About the Sessions

Week 1: The Physical Body
We become aware of our physical body, including pain and other sensations. We learn how our emotions affect our posture, and our posture affects our emotions. We learn about our resistance to our physical experience.

Week 2: The Mental World
We learn why our minds are so busy all the time and explore the stories we tell ourselves that are causing suffering and holding us back. We also explore the subjects of anxiety and depression, finding a way to cope better with both.

Week 3: The Emotional World
We learn about our emotional system – the in-built mechanism we have that ensures our survival, but that can also backfire on us. We learn how to handle the uncomfortable feelings that our emotions create within us.

Week 4: The Levels of Consciousness
We learn about the emotions that drive everything we do, from guilt and shame, through fear, desire anger and pride, and through to love, joy, peace and ultimately enlightenment. With this knowledge, we stop forcing our way through life and tap into our own personal power.

Week 5: The Outer World
After exploring the inner world, we learn how it relates to the outer world and we get the skills to handle external situations with ease and grace. We learn why people do bad things to us, and how to turn those situations into a positive experience.

Week 6: Putting it Together
We take everything we have learnt over the last five weeks and bring it together to discover the truth about our place in the world… we develop a sense of present moment awareness which will serve us for life. We also make a plan for taking our mindfulness practice forward into the future…

Some kind words from happy students…

Thanks so much for tonight Stuart!

I’m so pleased that I decided to give it a go as it has given me greater confidence even as a complete beginner to enjoy and benefit from the techniques. The people in the group were all lovely and I thought you came across as very knowledgeable yet approachable to our questions.

I actually don’t think I even knew I could feel that relaxed and I still feel it as I’m writing this now.

I can’t wait for the next workshop and to see how I get on with these techniques at home too.

— Michael, Nottingham ★★★★★

I would highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to find peace in our chaotic world and reconnect with themselves.

Stuart is an experienced meditator and skilled teacher. He shares his mindfulness experience in a non judgmental way and creates a welcoming environment in which you will feel comfortable to develop your own meditation practice.

I left work feeling stressed and overwhelmed. I joined the class and within an hour felt grounded, like my true self again.

Modern life is full of demands and pressure. It’s time to take some time back for yourself and join this mindfulness class.

— Paul, Leicester

Thank you sooo much for today!

I already feel like it has made such a difference – I feel lighter, calmer, have more perspective and as a result feel happier and more prepared.

I’m sooo excited about developing this further, thank you!

— Samantha, Loughborough ★★★★★

I liked your gentle pace and explanations on meditation and mindfulness. I particularly liked the use of the singing bowl every two minutes as a gentle focus.

I was left wanting more and I look forward to seeing what other workshops you are offering in the future.
