Flow

.
Tao, or ‘flow’ is one of those concepts that can seem pretty alien. Maybe a little ‘out there’, maybe a touch too ‘woo woo’ for our tastes.
.
But put simply, it is the process of living life with love, joy, peace and enlightenment.
.
When ‘good’ things happen, we rejoice because we are alive to experience them.
.
And critically, when ‘bad’ things happen… we rejoice because we are alive to experience them.
.
No judgement. No labels. No need to alter anything. Our happiness does not ride on the stories we tell ourselves about our experience…
.
Rather, our happiness rides only on the fact that we’re here, and we’re having an experience.
.
It takes work. It takes letting go. It takes time.
.
But it’s one of the most delightful ways we can live—still providing our value in the world, still “chopping wood and carrying water” as the Zen proverb goes—but doing it all with a sense of ease, grace, gratitude and wonder.
.
I recommend it.
