Block 5: Communication

.
You can’t say that!
I don’t know how to tell him!
How can I say no?
.
More and more we are having our language taken away from us; our main means of self-expression.
.
The authorities and our peers are policing our language and communication for unpopular, unacceptable speech.
.
We get tied up in how to say things in a way that won’t offend.
.
And we have to realise that whether or not to take offence is the receiver’s responsibility. Especially when we have good intent.
.
What if you were straightforward with your speech instead of wasting time and energy on saying everything but the truth?
.
What if you could say “no” as a full sentence without having to justify and excuse yourself?
.
What if you stopped being scared of how others will take your words and communicated clearly and effectively?
.
